Foreigner Guitarist Mick Jones Recovering From Heart Surgery Peter Hodgson (Gibson.com) 27.2.2012 Foreigner guitarist and Gibson signature artist Mick Jones is recovering after urgent heart surgery last week, according to the New York Post. Jones is reported to have checked into the Mount Sinai Heart Institute in Miami Beach, Florida, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six. Page Six says that after the surgery, Jones was treated in an intensive care ward but was moved out of the specialist unit on Thursday night. Bob Hendrix, Jimi Hendrix’s Cousin, Dies

Robert “Bob” Hendrix, first cousin to Jimi Hendrix and a key executive with Experience Hendrix, LLC, has died. A press release issued Tuesday (February 21) announced the “sudden passing” of Hendrix on Sunday. He was 65. Robert Hendrix joined forces with Jimi Hendrix’s father, James “Al” Hendrix, and the elder Hendrix’s daughter, Janie Hendrix, to form Experience Hendrix and Authentic Hendrix in 1995. Both companies helped reinvigorate the late guitarist’s catalog.
